Creeperhulk turns any creature you control into a temporary copy of itself — a 5/5 trampler that threatens to end the game the turn it resolves. Five mana for a 5/5 with trample is already passable, but the pump ability is the real reason you're running it.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t
| Format | Verdict |

| modern | not legal |
| pioneer | not legal |
| standard | not legal |
| vintage | legal |
| pauper | not legal |
| oathbreaker | legal |
Creeperhulk is a Commander card through and through — the ability rewards board states with multiple creatures, which Commander's multiplayer environment naturally produces. In Legacy and Vintage, a five-mana creature with no immediate protection and a tap-to-pump ability is far too slow to compete with the format's threats. Commander is where Creeperhulk earns its slot: one activation can turn a token or utility creature into a 5/5 trampling threat mid-combat, changing the math for blockers in ways opponents can't easily predict. Oathbreaker is also legal, and the smaller board sizes make the single-target pump slightly less explosive, but still functional in a green stompy shell.

Price Context
Current price
$0.17 bulk tier
At $0.17, Creeperhulk is pure bulk — easy to pick up in any common-bin or budget order. The price is unlikely to move meaningfully given its narrow Commander application and the abundance of available copies.
