Crackling Triton

Crackling Triton is a Pauper-legal common, and that's the only format where it sees even fringe discussion — primarily in blue-heavy control or sacrifice shells that need bodies with built-in utility. In Commander, a 2/3 that deals 2 damage to one target and taps one permanent for the cost of its own life rarely makes the cut when unconditional removal and repeatable draw are the bar. Legacy, Modern, Pioneer, and Vintage have zero interest; the effect is simply too small and too fragile to matter in those environments. If you're building a dedicated sacrifice-value deck in Commander and need a cheap enabler at the very bottom of your curve, Crackling Triton fills a slot — everywhere else, something better exists at the same mana cost.
