Coursers' Accord puts a 3/3 centaur token and a populate trigger on the stack for six mana — two bodies for one card, but six mana for that output is slow even by Commander standards. It's a bulk token-doubler for decks that can't afford better, not a staple.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t
| Format | Verdict |
|---|---|
| commander | legal |
| legacy | legal |
| modern | legal |
| pioneer | legal |
| standard | not legal |
| vintage | legal |
| pauper | legal |
| oathbreaker | legal |
Coursers' Accord is a Commander card through and through — six mana is a nonstarter in Pauper's aggressive token shells or any competitive Constructed format, but Commander's longer games and token-centric archetypes give it a narrow home. In Pauper it's technically legal but outclassed by nearly every other token producer at common. Modern, Pioneer, Legacy, and Vintage have zero interest in a six-mana sorcery that makes a single 3/3. In Commander, Coursers' Accord occupies the budget slot in Selesnya token decks that want populate redundancy and can't or won't spend on better options.

Price Context
Current price
$0.12 bulk tier
At $0.12, Coursers' Accord is deep bulk — you're paying for cardboard, not power. That price reflects its narrow role accurately, and there's no reason to expect it to move.
