Corpseberry Cultivator puts a land directly into play every time you cast a creature with a -1/-1 counter on it — that's repeatable ramp stapled to a creature type that already wants to exist. The cost is real: you need a steady supply of countered creatures, which means it's dead weight outside dedicated shells, but inside Camellia, the Seedmiser it's one of the better value engines available.

Camellia, the Seedmiser
Camellia, the Seedmiser draws a card whenever you cast a creature with a -1/-1 counter on it, which means every creature you play triggers both Camellia and Corpseberry Cultivator simultaneously — you're cantripping and ramping on the same cast, which compounds faster than most green engines at this price point.

Corpseberry Cultivator is a Commander card through and through — the payoff scales with volume, and 100-card singleton gives you enough -1/-1 counter synergies to fire it repeatedly. In 1v1 formats like Modern or Pioneer, the setup cost is too steep: you need both the Cultivator in play and a stream of countered creatures before you see a land, and fair decks won't give you that runway. Pauper is the one competitive format where it could theoretically slot into a dedicated Hapatra-style shell, but the archetype doesn't have the critical mass to make it consistent. Treat Corpseberry Cultivator as a Commander-only piece unless you're explicitly building around -1/-1 counters in a singleton-adjacent format.

$0.12 bulk tier
At $0.12, Corpseberry Cultivator is deep bulk — pick up a playset for under a dollar and don't think twice about it. Bulk ramp pieces with narrow homes rarely climb, so there's no reason to stock up speculatively, but any -1/-1 counter deck should just own this card.
