Coordinated Barrage taps one of your creatures to prevent all damage from a target creature this turn — cheap interaction that doubles as a combat trick, but it only works if you have a creature with a relevant subtype to tap. It earns a slot in tribal decks that flood the board; everywhere else, it's too conditional to bother.

In Commander, Coordinated Barrage is a niche piece of tribal interaction — playable in the right shell, invisible everywhere else. Pauper is where it has the most theoretical homes, since aggressive tribal strategies like Goblins or Soldiers run enough on-type creatures to tap reliably, and a one-mana damage-prevention trick at instant speed has real value in a format full of combat-centric decks. In Legacy and Vintage, Coordinated Barrage is too narrow to compete for spell slots against format-defining interaction. Modern tribal decks have access to far more efficient protection and removal, so it doesn't register there either.

Price Context
Current price
$0.17 bulk tier
At $0.17, Coordinated Barrage is deep bulk — pick it up in a trade binder or toss it in a cart filler order without thinking twice. It won't appreciate; the ceiling on a narrow tribal combat trick is low, and supply is plentiful.
