Convulsing Licid turns one of your creatures into a repeatable tap-lock on any creature an opponent controls — for two mana and a tap, you can shut down a blocker or stax piece indefinitely. The catch is that the enchanted creature untaps as normal and the Licid can be bounced back by paying a blue mana, so the lock costs constant vigilance.

| oathbreaker | legal |
Convulsing Licid is legal in Commander, Legacy, Vintage, and Oathbreaker, but competitive play in Legacy and Vintage has no use for a fragile, mana-intensive tap effect when hard answers exist. In Commander, it finds its most plausible home in stax or pillow-fort builds that want to neutralize a single threatening creature turn after turn without spending removal, though the activation cost and the opponent's ability to break the lock with a single blue mana keeps it firmly in casual territory. It is not legal in Modern, Pioneer, Standard, or Pauper.

Price Context
Current price
$0.15 bulk tier
At $0.15, Convulsing Licid is deep bulk — the kind of card that ends up in a trade binder at a penny. That price is stable because demand is essentially zero, so don't expect it to move in either direction.
