Conifer Strider enters as a 6/6 trampler for five mana — that's the whole pitch, and it's a bad one outside a very specific shell. Without Zilortha, Strength Incarnate turning its power into its toughness for combat, this is a vanilla body that any format has outgrown.

Zilortha, Strength Incarnate
Zilortha, Strength Incarnate's replacement effect makes power the damage threshold for blocking, which means Conifer Strider's 6 power punches through almost any blocker on the ground — the trample on top makes it nearly unblockable in practice.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t
| Format | Verdict |
|---|---|
| commander | legal |
| legacy | legal |
| modern | legal |
| pioneer | legal |
| standard | not legal |
| vintage | legal |
| pauper | legal |
| oathbreaker | legal |
Conifer Strider is a Commander card, and even there the role is narrow. In Zilortha, Strength Incarnate decks it earns its slot as a budget six-power trample body that pressures life totals the turn it lands. In Pauper it's legal but irrelevant — five mana for a vanilla 6/6 with no enters-the-battlefield effect doesn't compete with the format's efficient threats. Modern, Pioneer, Legacy, and Vintage all have access to far more powerful five-drops, and Conifer Strider has no business in any of them.

Price Context
Current price
$0.22 bulk tier
At $0.22, Conifer Strider is deep bulk — you'll find it in a commons bin before you'd bother ordering it. The price reflects the card's narrow demand: it's a one-deck wonder, and even Zilortha lists don't need more than one copy.
