Conductive Machete gives a creature first strike and a power boost for two mana to equip, which is a fine combat trick but not a meaningful axis in Commander. At one mana to cast and two to equip, you're spending three mana total for an effect that doesn't generate card advantage, close games, or protect your board — skip it unless a specific commander demands the first strike text.

Conductive Machete is legal in every major constructed format but sees virtually no play in any of them. In Commander, Equipment needs to either generate value repeatedly, grant evasion, or enable a combo — first strike and +1/+1 does none of those things at scale. In 1v1 formats like Modern and Pioneer, combat tricks on Equipment are too slow compared to instant-speed alternatives that don't cost an equip each time. Standard is the only context where it might briefly appear at the very bottom of a draft pick order, but even there, better common Equipment exists.
