Colossal Heroics untaps all creatures you control and gives each a +1/+1 counter at instant speed — a combat trick that doubles as a pseudo-vigilance reset for the price of two mana. It's a real card in token-wide and go-wide strategies, and at flash speed it can steal attacks you had no business winning.

In Commander, Colossal Heroics earns its slot in any deck that attacks with more than two creatures — the untap converts a tapped-out board into surprise blockers, and the counters accumulate across the game. Competitive formats tell a different story: in Modern and Pioneer, two mana at instant speed competing against Heroic triggers or combat tricks needs to generate tempo immediately, and a +1/+1 counter spread thin across multiple creatures rarely closes games the way a pump on a single threat does. Legacy has enough redundancy and speed that this effect is too fair to see serious play. Oathbreaker is its best non-Commander home, where planeswalker-adjacent go-wide builds can abuse the untap without the singleton constraint softening the payoff.

$0.07 bulk tier
At $0.07, Colossal Heroics is deep bulk — you're paying less for it than the sleeve it goes in. Bulk rares with narrow applications rarely move on their own, so treat this as a permanent throw-in rather than a card with meaningful upside.
