Cloaked Cadet draws you a card whenever another creature you control becomes tapped, which in the right shell turns every attack or tap ability into free card advantage. The two-mana body is fragile, but the engine it provides is the entire reason to run it.

Cloaked Cadet is a Commander card almost exclusively — the tap-trigger payoff scales with the number of creatures you're activating or attacking with, and that density is hardest to assemble in a 60-card singleton context. In Modern and Pioneer the card is legal but irrelevant; three toughness at two mana doesn't survive the interaction density, and the trigger volume required to break even on investment rarely materializes before the game ends. Legacy and Vintage offer no incentive at all. In Commander, Cloaked Cadet is a genuine role-player in tap-heavy strategies: Krenko, Mob Boss; Convoke commanders; and go-wide token builds that swing wide every combat turn.

$0.10 bulk tier
At $0.10, Cloaked Cadet is deep bulk — you're paying for cardboard and nothing else. Bulk rares with narrow but real Commander applications tend to stay in this range indefinitely, so there's no urgency and no risk; just pick one up the next time you're completing a list.
