Chosen of Markov // Markov's Servant flips into a 3/3 lifelink vampire token factory the moment you have three vampires in play — a reasonable payoff that arrives on turn two and scales with your board. The ask is real tribal commitment, but in a dedicated vampire shell that cost is invisible.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t
| Format | Verdict |
|---|---|

| legacy | legal |
| modern | legal |
| pioneer | not legal |
| standard | not legal |
| vintage | legal |
| pauper | legal |
| oathbreaker | legal |
In Commander, Chosen of Markov // Markov's Servant earns a slot in any vampire tribal build that wants cheap bodies and a late-game token engine — the flip side generating 1/1 lifelink vampires is exactly the kind of sustained pressure tribal decks want. Outside Commander, it's legal in Pauper, where its common printing makes it a legitimate two-drop in vampire aggro if that archetype has the density to flip it consistently. In Legacy, Modern, and Vintage it's technically legal but has no meaningful role — the competition at two mana is too steep and vampire tribal isn't a factor in those formats.

Price Context
Current price
$0.09 bulk tier
At $0.09, Chosen of Markov // Markov's Servant is deep bulk — you're picking it out of a dollar box, not budgeting for it. Bulk commons and uncommons at this price floor don't appreciate unless a format breakout hits, and nothing on the horizon points that direction.
