Chandra's Regulator card art
Chandra's Regulator doubles every loyalty ability your Chandra planeswalkers activate for a single red mana — that's two triggers for one, and it stacks immediately. In any deck running Chandra, Fire of Kaladesh, this is an auto-include, not a consideration.

Chandra, Fire of Kaladesh flips into a planeswalker on the back of its own pings, and Chandra's Regulator doubles those loyalty activations — meaning you're generating twice the damage, twice the mana, or twice the card advantage every turn for just one red mana per copy.

Chandra's Regulator is a Commander card through and through — its value scales with how many Chandra planeswalkers you're running, and only dedicated Chandra tribal builds reach the critical mass to make it sing. In Constructed formats like Modern and Pioneer, planeswalker-doubling on a two-mana artifact is theoretically interesting, but the lack of a critical density of Chandra loyalty abilities in any competitive shell makes it a niche pick at best. Legacy and Vintage have no use for it — those formats don't do planeswalker synergy packages. Oathbreaker is where Chandra's Regulator finds its second home: a Chandra as your oathbreaker means the Regulator is live every game from turn two.
