Chandra's Flame Wave hits every opponent for 4 and untaps Chandra, Fire of Kaladesh — that's a meaningful on-board swing for six mana. The cost is real, but the double payoff makes it a legitimate include in any deck built around her.

Chandra, Fire of Kaladesh
Chandra, Fire of Kaladesh exists to deal damage and flip, and Chandra's Flame Wave does both jobs at once — dealing 4 to each opponent while untapping her so she can swing or activate again the same turn.

Chandra's Flame Wave is legal across Constructed formats but sees essentially no play in competitive ones — six mana for a sorcery-speed effect is simply too slow for Legacy, Modern, or Pioneer, where the game is often over before this resolves. In Commander, the math is friendlier: hitting three or four opponents for 4 each is 12–16 total damage from a single spell, which is relevant in a superfriends or Chandra-tribal shell where the untap rider actually has a target. Outside of dedicated Chandra builds, there are better six-drop payoffs, so the card earns its slot narrowly but legitimately in that specific context.

$0.38 bulk tier
At $0.38, Chandra's Flame Wave is deep bulk — there's no financial case for or against picking it up, and its niche appeal means it's unlikely to move. Grab a copy if the deck calls for it; don't expect the price to matter either direction.
