Chambered Nautilus puts a 2/2 islandwalker on the board for two mana and replaces itself with a card draw trigger whenever it attacks an opponent who controls an Island — solid value stapled onto an evasive body. The catch is that islandwalk is parasitic: against Island-free tables, this is just a vanilla 2/2 with no upside.

In Commander, Chambered Nautilus earns its slot in blue-heavy metas where Islands are everywhere — every player running blue fetchlands, shocklands, or basic Islands hands you a free card every combat. Outside of those tables it stalls, which caps its universality. Legacy and Vintage are legal formats but offer no competitive context where a two-mana 2/2 with conditional draw is relevant. Chambered Nautilus is a Commander-only card in practice, and even there it's a metagame read rather than an auto-include.

$0.20 bulk tier
At $0.20, Chambered Nautilus is deep bulk — the kind of card you pick up in a trade binder without thinking twice. Price is stable by default; there's no demand engine that would move it.
