In Commander, Cenn's Tactician earns a slot only in dedicated Soldier tribal builds — the pump and extra blocker clause scale with your board, so a half-Soldier deck gets half the value. Modern and Legacy see it occasionally in Soldier aggro sideboards, but competitive creature suites there are tight enough that it rarely makes the cut.
