Celebrity Fencer enters with a +1/+1 counter for each differently named artifact you control, so in the right shell it's already a 5/5 or bigger the turn it lands. The four-mana cost is the real ceiling — pair it with Animation Module and you have a self-reinforcing counter engine, but without that kind of support it's just a vanilla beatstick.

Celebrity Fencer is a Commander card through and through — the artifact-count payoff only reaches critical mass in a 100-card singleton format where you're running 20-plus differently named artifacts. In Pauper it's legally available but too slow and conditional for an aggro-focused format that punishes four-mana do-nothings. Legacy, Modern, and Pioneer all have access to it, but no competitive shell wants a creature whose power scales off artifact diversity when faster, more reliable threats exist. Oathbreaker can support it in the right artifact build, but Commander is where Celebrity Fencer actually earns its slot.
