Cavern Lampad card art
Cavern Lampad slaps intimidate onto any creature you enchant, making it unblockable against the majority of boards that aren't running the right creature types. The cost — four mana for a 1/3 that does nothing if the enchanted creature dies — is steep enough that it only earns its slot in dedicated Aura or constellation strategies.

Cavern Lampad is a Pauper staple in Bogles-style decks, where stacking Auras on a hexproof one-drop makes intimidate a near-guaranteed hit every combat. In Commander, the card is too slow and fragile for most powered tables — four mana to grant a keyword with no inherent protection is a liability when any removal spell collapses the whole investment. It finds a real home in enchantress commanders like Siona, Captain of the Pyleas or Tuvasa the Sunlit, where the constellation trigger and card-draw engines offset the tempo cost. Legacy and Modern have faster, more resilient Aura suites that crowd it out. Oathbreaker mirrors the Commander read: playable in the right shell, irrelevant outside it.

Price Context

Current price

$0.12 bulk tier

At $0.12, Cavern Lampad is deep bulk — you're picking these out of a commons box, not buying singles. It holds that floor reliably given its Pauper demand, but there's no pressure scenario that pushes it meaningfully higher.
