Cascade Seer card art
Cascade Seer enters and lets you scry X, where X is the number of spells you've cast this turn — a payoff that scales hard in storm-style or spell-chain decks. The cost is that it's a five-mana 3/3 with no immediate board impact beyond the scry, so it needs the right shell to justify the slot.

In Commander, Cascade Seer earns its seat in high-spell-velocity decks where you've already cast three or four spells before landing it — at that point a scry 4 or 5 on a creature body is genuinely strong setup for the following turn. Outside of that context, five mana for conditional card selection is too slow for a format where the competition for five-drops is steep. In Pauper, the common slot at five mana is crowded with more immediately impactful options, and the scry payoff rarely materializes without dedicated spell-chaining support. Legacy and Vintage move too fast for Cascade Seer to matter. Pioneer and Modern lack the critical mass of cheap cantrips to make the scry count reliably high.

$0.06 bulk tier

At $0.06, Cascade Seer is deep bulk — you're paying almost nothing for the physical card. Price stability is a non-issue at this tier; it will sit at bulk indefinitely unless a future combo or commander pushes spell-count synergies into the spotlight.
