Caravan Escort is a 1/1 for one white mana with the levelup mechanic — at level 2 it becomes a 2/3, and at level 3 a 4/4 with first strike, requiring significant additional mana investment to get there. The payoff is real but slow, and any removal spell at any stage erases every mana you've sunk into it.
