Bull's Strength puts +2/+2 and trample on a creature at instant speed for two mana — that's a combat trick that wins races and turns blocked creatures into threats that bleed through. It's a fine include in Pauper voltron or go-wide stompy builds, but too narrow for most Commander lists.

Pauper is where Bull's Strength earns its keep — instant-speed trample is genuinely hard to play around at common, and two mana is the right rate for a format where combat matters. In Commander, it's too low-impact: a single creature getting +2/+2 for a turn rarely swings a multiplayer game, and the effect evaporates at end of step. Legacy, Modern, and Pioneer all have access to more efficient or permanent pump, so Bull's Strength doesn't see meaningful play there. Oathbreaker is the one 60-card-adjacent format where a voltron-style signature spell might justify it, but even there you're competing with pump that leaves a lasting board presence.
