Bounty of Might dumps +3/+3 counters across three targets for six mana — the math is real, but the speed is not. In any format faster than a midrange Commander pod, six mana for a sorcery-speed pump spell is too slow to matter.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t
| Format | Verdict |
|---|---|
| commander | legal |
| legacy | legal |
| modern | legal |
| pioneer | legal |
| standard | not legal |
| vintage | legal |
| pauper | not legal |
| oathbreaker | legal |
Bounty of Might is legal in Commander, Legacy, Modern, Pioneer, Vintage, and Oathbreaker, but competitive play in the non-rotating formats ignores it entirely — six mana at sorcery speed is a non-starter when threats end games on turns three and four. Commander is the only realistic home, specifically in +1/+1 counter decks that want to flood the board with counters and have the luxury of reaching six mana without dying. Even there, Bounty of Might competes with cheaper instant-speed options and rarely makes the cut outside dedicated synergy builds. Oathbreaker's lower life totals and tighter deck construction make it even harder to justify the cost.

Pricing data for Bounty of Might isn't currently available in our catalog, so check Scryfall or TCGPlayer for the latest. Given its narrow application and limited competitive demand, it has historically sat in bulk-rare territory — worth picking up cheaply if you're building a counter synergy deck, but not a card to prioritize at any real premium.
