Boneclub Berserker card art
Boneclub Berserker hits the board as a haste-enabled threat that punishes opponents for having creatures — its damage triggers stack fast in token-heavy metas. Grub, Storied Matriarch is the natural home, where the Berserker's enter-the-battlefield aggression lines up perfectly with the sacrifice-and-recur gameplan.

Best Commanders

Commanders with the highest synergy

01

Grub, Storied Matriarch

34.0% of decks · synergy 0.32

Grub, Storied Matriarch loops creatures in and out of the graveyard, and every time Boneclub Berserker re-enters the battlefield the damage trigger fires again — it's one of the cleaner repeat-damage engines in the deck.

03
Krenko, Mob Boss

Krenko, Mob Boss

15.4% of decks · synergy 0.13

Krenko, Mob Boss floods the board with Goblins, and Boneclub Berserker's trigger scales directly with the number of creatures opponents control — the wider the table, the more free damage it generates. In a deck already built to swarm, that enter-the-battlefield punch is rarely trivial.

04
Muxus, Goblin Grandee

Muxus, Goblin Grandee

15.3% of decks · synergy 0.13

Muxus, Goblin Grandee dumps multiple Goblins into play at once, and Boneclub Berserker landing off a Muxus activation can deal several damage before a single combat step. It's a low-cost body that pulls its weight even when Muxus is the real headline.

Format Analysis

Where it lives, where it can’t

FormatVerdict
commander

modern
pioneer
standard

pauper
oathbreaker

In Commander, Boneclub Berserker earns its slot in Goblin and sacrifice shells where the enter-the-battlefield trigger fires repeatedly rather than once. Outside Commander, the competition gets stiffer fast — Modern and Legacy have no shortage of two-mana red creatures that close games more efficiently than a conditional damage trigger. Pauper is the most interesting non-Commander landing spot, where the density of cheap creatures across the table makes the trigger more reliable and the power floor of the format is low enough that a 2/2 with haste is a legitimate threat. Standard is possible but situational; Pioneer sits somewhere in between.

Price Context

Current price

$0.16 bulk tier

At $0.16, Boneclub Berserker is firmly bulk — pick up as many copies as you need without a second thought. Bulk commons and uncommons at this price point rarely appreciate unless a competitive deck adopts them en masse, so treat it as a cheap role-player rather than a spec.
