Bond Beetle enters and puts a +1/+1 counter on any target creature — including itself — for a single green mana, which is the entire argument for running it. In counter-doubling or flicker shells, that trigger chains into Evolution Witness recursion loops or Doubling Season math fast enough that the 0/1 body stops mattering.

In Commander, Bond Beetle slots into any deck that cares about +1/+1 counters entering the battlefield — Zaxara, Hamza, Vorinclex, anything that rewards triggering proliferate or doubling effects. Outside Commander, the card is legal in Legacy, Vintage, Modern, and Pauper, but sees essentially no competitive play in any of them — a one-counter floor on a 0/1 body doesn't clear the bar in formats with faster threats. Pauper is the one fringe case where enter-the-battlefield counter synergies occasionally show up in budget builds, but Bond Beetle still competes with strictly better one-drops for that slot.

$0.09 bulk tier
At $0.09, Bond Beetle is pure bulk — you're paying for cardboard, not scarcity. That price is stable because demand is narrow and supply is high, so don't expect movement in either direction.
