Bogardan Lancer is a 2/1 first striker for two that gains a temporary +1/+1 boost when it blocks or attacks alongside a Dragon — situational upside stapled to a body that's already outclassed at its mana cost. Playable only in dedicated Dragon tribal, and even there it's a marginal inclusion.

In Commander, Bogardan Lancer fits only in Dragon tribal decks where the Dragon-companion bonus triggers reliably, and even then the body is too small to matter past the early turns. Pauper is the format where it has the most theoretical footing — commons fight at a different scale — but a 2/1 first striker for two competes against stronger two-drops and still needs Dragons in play to do anything above rate. Legacy and Vintage are non-starters; Bogardan Lancer has no business in either format. The card is a bulk common in every context where it's legal.

Current price
$0.15 bulk tier
At $0.15, Bogardan Lancer sits firmly in bulk territory — the price of filler, not a role-player. It won't rise; Dragon tribal has better two-drops and nothing here is scarce enough to demand a premium.
