Blitz Hellion hits for 7 trampling damage the turn it enters — and then it's gone, shuffling back into your library at end of turn with no upkeep attached. The deal is straightforward: enormous immediate pressure, zero staying power, built for decks that can either copy it, blink it, or simply keep casting it.

Commander is where Blitz Hellion earns its niche — specifically in haste-matters, Gruul stompy, or damage-doublers shells where the bounce-back is a feature rather than a bug, since commanders like Wort, the Raidmother or Xenagos, God of Revels can make a single 7-power swing end a player. In Modern and Legacy it has never been competitive; a seven-mana creature that doesn't stick the board is simply too slow and too easy to ignore when the game doesn't pause for it. Vintage has the raw speed to theoretically abuse it, but nobody is doing that. Blitz Hellion is a Commander card through and through.

Price Context
Current price
$0.29 bulk tier
At $0.29, Blitz Hellion is firmly bulk — the kind of card you pull from a dollar box and slot in without a second thought. Bulk mythics rarely climb unless a new commander or mechanic suddenly breaks them wide open, and nothing on the horizon suggests that fate for this one.
