Blind Zealot trades itself for any creature when it connects, stapling forced sacrifice onto a two-power intimidate body. The cost is that it needs to actually deal combat damage — any chump blocker or evasion answer nullifies the trigger entirely.

In Commander, Blind Zealot is a budget slot for sacrifice-matters and forced-sacrifice strategies — it won't win games on its own but reliably converts one hit into a removal spell against any single opponent. In Pauper, the common pool keeps the competition modest, and a two-mana 2/1 with intimidate that removes a creature on connection is genuinely playable in black aggro or aristocrats lists. Legacy and Vintage have no interest in a three-turn clock that dies to every removal spell in the format. Oathbreaker can use it the same way Commander does — lean on commanders that reward sacrifice fodder or evasive attackers.

Price Context
Current price
$0.13 bulk tier
At $0.13, Blind Zealot is deep bulk — you'll find copies in any common box at a store without looking hard. The price reflects the card's narrow role; it won't climb unless a future commander pushes sacrifice-on-damage into the spotlight.
