Blessed Reversal gains you life equal to the number of creatures attacking you — useful ceiling when you're staring down a wide board, but a three-mana instant that does nothing on an empty combat is dead weight. It's a niche lifegain spell that earns its slot only in decks that specifically reward life totals gained, not a generic defensive tool.

In Commander, Blessed Reversal occupies a narrow role: it can swing a life total dramatically when a player is being targeted by a go-wide aggro deck or caught in a combat with tokens, but it doesn't advance your board and won't win you the game.
