Bleeding Edge
Sorcery
Up to one target creature gets -2/-2 until end of turn. Amass Zombies 2. (Put two +1/+1 counters on an Army you control. It's also a Zombie. If you don't control an Army, create a 0/0 black Zombie Army creature token first.)

Bleeding Edge kills a creature and drains every opponent for 1 — three words of text that matter — all for three mana at sorcery speed. It's a solid role-player in black Commander decks that want to double-dip on removal and life-loss triggers, and a clean bulk pickup for those shells.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t

Commander is where Bleeding Edge actually earns a slot: hitting any one target unconditionally while pinging all three opponents rewards life-loss synergy commanders in a way that one-for-one removal usually doesn't. In 1v1 formats like Legacy, Modern, and Pioneer it's strictly outclassed — three mana at sorcery speed for a kill spell is too slow when Fatal Push and Terminate exist, and the drain rider rarely matters against a single opponent. Vintage has better options at every point on the curve. Oathbreaker mirrors Commander's multiplayer math, so the drain clause is marginally more relevant there than in the 60-card formats.

Price Context
Current price
$0.27 bulk tier
At $0.27, Bleeding Edge is deep bulk — you're paying for cardboard, not scarcity. That price is stable because demand is low and copies are plentiful; don't expect movement in either direction.
