Bioplasm
Creature — Ooze
Whenever this creature attacks, exile the top card of your library. If it's a creature card, this creature gets +X/+Y until end of turn, where X is the exiled creature card's power and Y is its toughness.

Bioplasm turns every attack into a potential free creature cast — hit something, exile the top card, and if it's a creature, it fights alongside your attacker with power and toughness stapled onto Bioplasm for the rest of the turn. The ceiling is enormous and the floor is a 4/4 trampler for five mana, which is good enough to run in creature-heavy green stompy builds.

Commander is the only format where Bioplasm is worth serious consideration — creature-dense green decks run 30-plus creatures, which makes the exile trigger hit often enough to justify the slot. In Legacy and Vintage it's a non-starter; five mana for a conditional creature is far too slow against those fields. Modern sees it the same way: too expensive, too unreliable without a stacked creature density. Bioplasm lives and dies in Commander, and specifically in green decks that flood the board and want repeated attack-step value.

Current price
$0.26 bulk tier
At $0.26, Bioplasm is deep bulk — no financial consideration needed when picking one up. The price reflects its narrow playability, not a hidden gem waiting to spike.
