Aven Warcraft gives your entire team protection from the color of your choice at instant speed — a full-table combat swing for three mana. It's a legitimate combat trick in go-wide white decks and a passable fog effect, but it's a one-shot with no lasting value, which keeps it out of most optimized lists.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t

Aven Warcraft is legal in Commander, Legacy, Vintage, and Oathbreaker, but sees essentially no competitive play in any of them. In Commander it has the most plausible home — white token strategies occasionally want a protection spell that doubles as a fog or surprise attack enabler, and the instant speed matters in a four-player game. Legacy and Vintage have access to far more efficient interaction, so Aven Warcraft doesn't register there. In Oathbreaker the smaller life totals make combat tricks marginally more relevant, but three mana is still a steep ask for an effect that doesn't trade with anything.

Price Context
Current price
$0.20 bulk tier
At $0.20, Aven Warcraft is deep bulk — it costs almost nothing to acquire and almost nothing to cut. Budget white token builds that genuinely need a board-wide protection spell on a budget can grab it without hesitation, but don't expect the price to move in either direction.
