Avalanche Caller
Snow Creature — Human Wizard
: Target snow land you control becomes a 4/4 Elemental creature with hexproof and haste until end of turn. It's still a land. (A creature with hexproof can't be the target of spells or abilities your opponents control.)

Avalanche Caller turns any Snow land into a 4/4 creature for three mana — no setup, no timing window, just a body on demand. It's a clean rate in Snow-matter decks, and Isu the Abominable builds in particular run it as a reliable body-generator that doubles as a threat.

Commanders with the highest synergy

Isu the Abominable
Isu the Abominable cares about Snow permanents entering and stacking counters, and Avalanche Caller hands you an animated Snow land on command — that's a free trigger source that doesn't cost you a card slot in the land base.
Jorn, God of Winter
Jorn, God of Winter wants a critical mass of Snow permanents to untap, and Avalanche Caller converts lands you already have into creatures that count toward that mass without adding dead draws to the deck.

Avalanche Caller is a Commander card through and through — the Snow subtype has just enough tribal density in EDH to make it worthwhile, and the ability to animate a land into a 4/4 on a turn you'd otherwise pass is genuinely useful. In competitive 60-card formats like Modern or Pioneer, it's too slow and too narrow: Snow synergies exist but don't need a three-mana enabler when cheaper options are available. Legacy and Vintage are simply out of its weight class. Stick to Commander Snow builds — that's the only context where Avalanche Caller is pulling its weight.

$0.13 bulk tier
At $0.13, Avalanche Caller is deep bulk — you're paying essentially nothing for a card that does real work in its niche. Bulk Snow cards don't spike unless a new Snow commander drives demand, so don't expect movement, but there's no reason not to pick up copies at this price.
