Autonomous Assembler is a colorless artifact creature that can pump itself with any color of mana, making it a flexible threat in multicolor and artifact-heavy Commander builds. The ceiling is real in the right shell, but a vanilla beater with a mana-sink ability rarely earns a slot outside dedicated synergy decks.

Autonomous Assembler is legal in Commander, Legacy, Modern, Pioneer, Vintage, and Oathbreaker, but it sees essentially no competitive play in any 60-card format — the bar for a do-nothing-until-you-sink-mana creature is simply too high. In Commander, it finds its most plausible home in artifact-tribal decks or colorless/multicolor builds where the color-agnostic pump clause has actual mechanical relevance. Even there, it's competing for slots against creatures that generate immediate value, and a 1/3 base body for three mana is a tough sell at a 100-card table.
