Aurochs Herd enters, fetches another Aurochs from your deck to hand, and swings for at least 2 trample — more if you've got the tribe out — all for six mana. The body and the tutor effect are both too small for that cost; this is a bulk rare that only earns a slot in dedicated Aurochs tribal, a deck that barely exists.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t
| Format | Verdict |

| modern | legal |
| pioneer | not legal |
| standard | not legal |
| vintage | legal |
| pauper | legal |
| oathbreaker | legal |
Aurochs Herd is legal in Commander, Legacy, Modern, Vintage, Pauper, and Oathbreaker, but that legality is academic everywhere except Pauper and fringe tribal Commander builds. In Pauper it's a common, so it technically competes, but six mana for a 2/3 with conditional trample and a narrow tutor is outclassed by nearly every green creature at that cost. In Commander, the only home is a dedicated Aurochs tribal list, and even there the six-mana investment for a single card-to-hand tutor on a fragile body is a tough sell when green has access to far more efficient creature tutors.

Price Context
Current price
$0.08 bulk tier
At $0.08, Aurochs Herd is deep bulk — you're paying for cardboard, not card value. It won't hold or gain value; supply far exceeds the narrow demand from tribal completionists.
