Aurelia's Vindicator card art
Aurelia's Vindicator enters with disguise, and when it morphs, it exiles a nonland permanent until it leaves — threatening removal stapled to a body your opponent can't easily account for face-down. The four-mana morph cost is real, but the combination of evasion and bounce-proof exile puts it firmly in the role-player tier for white creature-based strategies. Kaust, Eyes of the Glade decks include it at a 35% rate for good reason — it converts face-down information advantage into board control.

Kaust, Eyes of the Glade cares deeply about face-down creatures, and Aurelia's Vindicator contributes both a disguise threat and a high-value morph payoff — flipping it to exile a blocker or problem permanent while Kaust's ability generates value off the flip is exactly the engine this commander wants.

In Commander, Aurelia's Vindicator is a legitimate role-player in morph, disguise, and white aggro-control builds — exile removal on a creature is always more resilient than an instant or sorcery, and the face-down mode adds a layer of ambiguity opponents have to respect. In 60-card formats like Modern and Pioneer, it faces a much steeper bar: four mana for a conditional exile effect on a 3/1 body is too slow when unconditional two-mana answers are everywhere. Standard is the one 60-card format where it can meaningfully compete, particularly in creature-heavy white shells that want removal with board presence. Legacy and Vintage are non-starters outside the deepest casual tables.

Pricing data for Aurelia's Vindicator isn't currently resolved in the system, so check Scryfall or your preferred retailer for a live number. Given its niche appeal — strongest in Commander, fringe elsewhere — expect it to settle in the $1–3 range typical for constructed-playable but format-limited creatures unless morph strategies spike in popularity.
