Armasaur Guide hands every creature you control trample and vigilance for the turn — a board-wide keyword pump stapled to a 3/3 body for four mana. The effect is legitimately powerful in go-wide or stompy strategies; the problem is that a sorcery-speed four-drop that does nothing the turn it enters is a real cost in a format where the table can answer it before combat.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t
| Format | Verdict |
|---|---|
| commander | legal |
| legacy | legal |
| modern | legal |
| pioneer | legal |
| standard | legal |
| vintage | legal |
| pauper | legal |
| oathbreaker | legal |
In Commander, Armasaur Guide earns a slot in any deck that swings wide and wants to punch through blockers — trample plus vigilance means your whole board attacks without leaving you defenseless, which matters against other creature decks. Outside Commander, it's too slow: Pioneer and Modern have redundant, cheaper keyword enablers, and a 3/3 for four with no immediate impact won't make any competitive list. Pauper is where it's technically legal but similarly outclassed by more efficient common options. Commander is its home, and within that format it's a role-player, not a staple.

Price Context
Current price
$0.08 bulk tier
At $0.08, Armasaur Guide is deep bulk — you're picking it out of a dollar box or grabbing a playset for less than a pack of sleeves. That price reflects its narrow niche and low competitive demand, and there's no meaningful floor to drop through, so it holds its near-zero value fine.
