Argothian Opportunist enters the battlefield and immediately destroys an artifact or enchantment — no activation, no tap cost, just a 2/2 body stapled to a Nature's Claim on legs. Three mana for that package is the going rate, which means you're running it because the redundancy matters, not because it's efficient.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t

In Commander, Argothian Opportunist slots into green decks that want multiple bodies capable of hitting artifacts and enchantments — Hamza, Guardian of Arashin or any blink or flicker shell gets repeated triggers off a single card. Pauper is where Argothian Opportunist is most at home: common-legal permanent removal on a creature is genuinely scarce at that rarity, and the 2/2 base stat line is serviceable in creature-based strategies. In Modern and Legacy, faster and more efficient options exist, so it rarely makes the cut outside of strict budget builds or singleton formats. Pioneer lists have little reason to reach for it when cleaner alternatives are available at the same cost.

Price Context
Current price
$0.10 bulk tier
At $0.10, Argothian Opportunist is deep bulk — you're paying for cardboard and postage, not the card itself. That price is stable by definition: there's no speculative ceiling on a common with limited competitive application, and it will stay in bulk bins indefinitely.
