Argoth, Sanctum of Nature card art
Argoth, Sanctum of Nature enters tapped but immediately replaces itself by milling two cards and putting a land from your graveyard into play — net zero on mana while advancing a land-matters engine. Ayula, Queen Among Bears aside, most decks that care about lands entering the battlefield or filling the graveyard with forests will find real value here.

Ayula, Queen Among Bears

44.2% of decks · synergy 0.39

Argoth, Sanctum of Nature feeds the bear engine twice over — the mill lines up forests for Ayula, Queen Among Bears triggers while the land drop itself can chain into more enters-the-battlefield effects.

02
Titania, Nature's Force

Titania, Nature's Force

38.4% of decks · synergy 0.34

Titania, Nature's Force cares deeply about forests entering the battlefield, and Argoth, Sanctum of Nature delivers one while simultaneously stocking the graveyard with more forests to recur.

03
Six

Commander is where Argoth, Sanctum of Nature does its best work — the self-mill is modest by competitive standards, but any deck built around land recursion or graveyard density turns the enters-tapped drawback into a non-issue. In Legacy and Vintage it's legal but irrelevant; the format's speed makes a tapped dual that mills two look like a bad joke next to the fetch-dual infrastructure already available. Modern and Pioneer could theoretically host a lands-matter shell, but the tempo loss of entering tapped without a commensurate payoff puts Argoth behind purpose-built alternatives in those formats. Stay in Commander.
