Archers of Qarsi is a pauper-legal common, and that's the one format where convoke synergies are dense enough to justify it. In Commander, the card is too slow and too underpowered — a 3/5 reach body does nothing on its own, and convoke decks in the 100-card format have better options at every point on the curve. Legacy, Modern, Pioneer, and Vintage are non-starters; those formats don't want five-mana vanilla creatures at any cost reduction. Pauper convoke is the one real home, and even there Archers of Qarsi sits at the fringe of the archetype.
