Arc Trail trades two mana for two bodies — one hit up to 2 damage, the second up to 1 — making it a two-for-one in token-heavy metas and a clean answer to small utility creatures. It's a role-player, not a staple: efficient enough to earn a slot when your meta runs mana dorks and pingers, cuttable when it doesn't.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t
| Format | Verdict |

| pauper | not legal |
| oathbreaker | legal |
In Commander, Arc Trail sits in the second tier of red removal — it handles mana dorks, Thalia, and token blockers, but the 40-life format means it never threatens a player directly, which limits its ceiling. Modern and Legacy have long since moved past it; Bolt effects and Prismatic Ending do the same job with more flexibility and no targeting restriction forcing the smaller hit on a different target. Legacy in particular has no shortage of better options at the same or lower cost. Arc Trail's best home is a Commander or Oathbreaker list that expects low-to-the-ground creatures and wants cheap, wide-coverage interaction without paying two cards for it.

Price Context
Current price
$0.12 bulk tier
At $0.12, Arc Trail is deep bulk — you'll find it in any commons box for free before you'd pay for it. That price is stable in the way all bulk is stable: no reprint pressure matters, no spike is coming, and it's unlikely to move in either direction.
