Anthousa, Setessan Hero turns every Heroic trigger into a land-based token factory — each targeting spell animates up to three lands into 2/2 attackers until end of turn, which stacks fast in a deck built around her. The cost is real: six mana for a 4/5 with no evasion means she needs support to close games before the table answers her.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t
| Format | Verdict |

| modern | legal |
| pioneer | legal |
| standard | not legal |
| vintage | legal |
| pauper | not legal |
| oathbreaker | legal |
Commander is where Anthousa, Setessan Hero actually gets to do her thing — green has the land count, the Heroic enablers, and the token payoffs to make the engine hum, and she's a reasonable build-around at the helm of a Heroic or lands-matter deck. In Legacy, Modern, and Pioneer she's a six-mana creature with a conditional ability in formats that kill you on turn four; she's legal but functionally unplayable in any competitive context. Oathbreaker has the same problem at a smaller table — six mana is too slow without the Commander-format's incremental grind to support her.

Price Context
Current price
$0.16 bulk tier
At $0.16, Anthousa, Setessan Hero is deep bulk — you're paying for cardboard, not demand. That price is stable because casual interest in Heroic commanders is narrow; don't expect movement.
