Angel of Serenity lands and immediately exiles up to three creatures — from the board or from graveyards — making it one of the most impactful seven-drops in white's toolbox. The cost is exactly that: seven mana and a body that dies to any removal spell, handing your opponents their creatures back the moment it leaves.
Best Commanders
Commanders with the highest synergy

Mayael the Anima
Mayael the Anima cheats Angel of Serenity into play for free, and a 5/6 flier that immediately clears three blockers or strips three graveyard threats is exactly the kind of immediate-impact threat Mayael wants to flip.

Kaalia of the Vast
Kaalia of the Vast puts Angel of Serenity into play attacking, meaning the three-exile trigger resolves before opponents can untap and answer it — tempo advantage on top of the board control.

Ranar the Ever-Watchful
Ranar the Ever-Watchful rewards flickering, and Angel of Serenity is a flicker engine in a single card — each blink resets the exile targets, letting you lock out more creatures while generating Spirit tokens on the way.

Shilgengar, Sire of Famine
Shilgengar, Sire of Famine runs a high Angel density, and Angel of Serenity both qualifies as a sacrifice target and clears the way for an unblocked attack the turn it arrives.

Giada, Font of Hope
In Giada, Font of Hope Angel tribal lists, Angel of Serenity fills the top of the curve as a removal spell stapled to a flying body, and Giada's mana acceleration makes the seven-mana ask less punishing.
Format Analysis

Commander is the natural home for Angel of Serenity — seven mana is fine when you're ramping, and the three-exile trigger is devastating in a multiplayer game full of reanimation targets and threatening creatures. In Modern and Pioneer it sees fringe play in ramp or reanimator shells that cheat it into play, since seven mana is otherwise too slow for those formats' clocks. Legacy has the raw power to get it into play early, but the format is too hostile to a fragile seven-drop for it to be consistent. Oathbreaker occasionally features it as a high-impact top-end in white-based control signatures, though the lower starting life total keeps it niche.

Price Context
Current price
$1.21 cheap tier
At $1.21, Angel of Serenity is cheap for what it does — a seven-mana three-for-one with a relevant body is real card advantage at essentially bulk price. That low floor reflects its narrow fit outside Commander rather than any weakness in the card itself.
