Anavolver is a modal three-drop that arrives as a 3/3 with trample, a 2/2 with flying and islandwalk, or a 3/3 with trample and flying and islandwalk if you pay life — real stats and relevant keywords for five mana total in that last mode. The ceiling is good enough for casual Commander, but the floor is a vanilla-adjacent beater with no enters-the-battlefield value, which keeps it out of competitive builds.
