Aetherstream Leopard is a marginal energy payoff — it enters with two energy counters and gets +1/+1 until end of turn for each energy you spend, which means it swings big exactly once before returning to a vanilla 2/1 body. The ceiling is real in dedicated energy shells, but the floor is unplayably low outside them.

Aetherstream Leopard is a Pauper-legal common, and that's its most relevant competitive home — energy synergies like Aetherworks Marvel strategies don't exist at that level, but any Pauper energy shell can use a creature that pays for itself in counters on entry. In Commander, it's a fringe inclusion: only Aetherstream Leopard decks built around energy generation with commanders like Shorikai, Genesis Engine or dedicated Kaladesh-block energy commanders get real mileage, and even then it competes with creatures that have persistent effects rather than a single burst. In Modern and Pioneer it lacks the raw power to slot into energy strategies that have access to stronger payoffs at the same cost.

Pricing data for Aetherstream Leopard isn't currently available, but as a common from a recent set it almost certainly sits at bulk — under $0.25. Pick it up if you're building an energy deck; there's no financial risk either way.
