Aerie Auxiliary enters with a +1/+1 counter, hands out a counter to a target creature, and replaces itself with a card draw — all on a 1/1 flying body for three mana. The rate is weak for Constructed but serviceable in counter-synergy Commander builds where every trigger matters.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t
| Format | Verdict |
|---|---|
| commander | legal |
| legacy | legal |
| modern | legal |
| pioneer | not legal |
| standard | not legal |
| vintage | legal |
| pauper | legal |
| oathbreaker | legal |
In Commander, Aerie Auxiliary earns its slot only in dedicated +1/+1 counter decks where the enter-trigger and card draw compound with payoffs like Hardened Scales or Doubling Season — outside that shell it's underpowered for the format. In Pauper it's a common, but three mana for a 1/1 that draws one card and spreads a single counter doesn't meet the format's efficiency bar. Legacy and Vintage are non-starters; Aerie Auxiliary does nothing that those formats can't accomplish twice as fast for half the mana. Oathbreaker shares Commander's verdict: viable in the right counter shell, irrelevant everywhere else.

Price Context
Current price
$0.13 bulk tier
At $0.13, Aerie Auxiliary is deep bulk — you're picking it up as a throw-in, not hunting it down. That price is stable by definition; there's no spike catalyst for a niche common with this power level.
