Aerial Guide gives your best attacker flying and evasion for a turn at the cost of a three-mana 2/2 body — a role that rarely justifies a card slot. It's a tempo piece without enough tempo, and most blue decks have stronger options at every point of the curve.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t
| Format | Verdict |

Aerial Guide is legal everywhere but Standard, and it sees essentially no competitive play in any format. In Commander, granting one creature flying for a turn doesn't scale to four players and doesn't generate card advantage — the bar for three-mana creatures that don't leave a lasting effect is high, and Aerial Guide doesn't clear it. Pauper is the one format where commons that grant evasion can occasionally matter, but even there the effect is too narrow and the body too small to compete for a slot. Across the board, Aerial Guide is outclassed by cards that do the same job at lower cost or with a repeatable trigger.

Pricing data for Aerial Guide isn't currently available, but as a bulk common with minimal competitive demand it almost certainly sits below $0.25 in any condition. There's no compelling reason to prioritize picking it up unless you're completing a specific collection.
