Aerial Engineer turns every artifact you control into a +1/+1 buff and grants flying to a 2/3 body for three mana — solid rate in artifact-heavy shells, irrelevant everywhere else. It's a role-player, not a bomb: if your deck isn't already leaning on artifacts, leave it out.
Format Analysis

In Commander, Aerial Engineer earns a slot only in dedicated artifact decks where it reliably pumps to 4/4 or larger and becomes a legitimate evasive threat. Outside of that context it's a vanilla 2/3 with flying for three, and that doesn't move the needle in a 100-card format. In Legacy, Modern, and Pioneer the competition at three mana is steep enough that Aerial Engineer never sees serious play — faster artifact synergy payoffs exist at lower cost. Oathbreaker follows the same logic as Commander: synergy-dependent, and only worth considering if the signature spell supports an artifact gameplan.

Price Context
Current price
$0.06 bulk tier
At $0.06, Aerial Engineer is deep bulk — the kind of card you pick out of a dollar box without thinking twice. Don't expect that price to move; demand is narrow enough that it stays in the noise.
