Aerial Boost gives a creature +2/+2 and flying until end of turn for two mana at instant speed — relevant stats, relevant keyword, but the effect doesn't persist past the turn it's cast. Combat tricks at this cost need to win the game or generate a card; Aerial Boost does neither reliably enough to earn a slot in competitive lists.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t
| Format | Verdict |
|---|---|
| commander | legal |
| legacy | legal |
| modern | legal |
| pioneer | legal |
| standard | not legal |
| vintage | legal |
| pauper | legal |
| oathbreaker | legal |
Aerial Boost is a bulk combat trick in every format where it's legal, and that's the ceiling. In Commander, one-shot pump spells without card draw attached are nearly unplayable — you're spending a card to win one combat at a table of four, which is a losing exchange. Pauper is the only format where combat tricks see genuine play, but even there Aerial Boost competes with options that leave a longer footprint. In Legacy, Modern, and Pioneer, the card doesn't meet the power threshold to see meaningful play. It's legal everywhere; it's correct almost nowhere.

Price Context
Current price
$0.10 bulk tier
At $0.10, Aerial Boost is deep bulk — you're not buying this, you're finding it at the bottom of a trade binder. Bulk commons don't appreciate, and there's no competitive demand that would change that trajectory.
