In Iroh, Grand Lotus decks that stockpile cards through his triggered ability, Accumulate Wisdom routinely draws four or five cards for three mana, which is a rate that demands respect.

Accumulate Wisdom is legal in every major format but sees meaningful play almost exclusively in Commander, where the singleton constraint and longer games let you build toward the hand sizes that make it explosive. In Legacy, Modern, and Pioneer, three mana for conditional card draw is simply too slow — Brainstorm, Preordain, and similar cantrips do more for less. Commander is the format where the math flips: multiplayer games run longer, hand-refill effects compound, and Iroh, Grand Lotus in particular turns Accumulate Wisdom into one of the best draw spells in the format for its slot. Outside of dedicated Commander builds, leave it on the shelf.
