Absolving Lammasu lands as a 4/4 flying lifelink for five mana and wipes all Curses off every player when it enters — free, unconditional, and board-wide. Five mana for a situational hoser with a vanilla body is a real cost, and outside dedicated Curse-matters builds it does almost nothing.

In Commander, Absolving Lammasu is a narrow hate piece that occasionally doubles as a political tool — clearing Curses off allies buys goodwill, and the flying lifelink body isn't embarrassing. Outside of dedicated Curse-tribal decks or metas heavy with cards like Curse of Misfortunes, it's too conditional to earn a slot in most 99s. In 60-card formats — Standard, Pioneer, Modern, Legacy, Vintage — Curses see almost no competitive play, which makes Absolving Lammasu dead weight at every level of those formats. This card has a home, but it's narrow: look to it only when Curses are a real part of the problem you're solving.

Price Context
Current price
$0.04 bulk tier
At $0.04, Absolving Lammasu is deep bulk — you're paying for cardboard and nothing else. Even at that price, it only earns a slot if your specific meta or deck concept actually calls for Curse removal; bulk rare doesn't mean free auto-include.
