Abandon Reason gives two creatures haste and lifelink until end of turn while cycling for one mana — the cycling clause is the whole reason to run it. Outside of Anje Falkenrath builds that need cheap, on-theme cycling fodder, it's too narrow to justify a slot.

Commanders with the highest synergy

Anje Falkenrath
Abandon Reason is a cycling card first and a combat trick second, which is exactly the profile Anje Falkenrath rewards — she untaps whenever you cycle a Madness card, and Abandon Reason's Madness cost means cycling it into the graveyard still lets you cast it for two mana if the effect is live.

In Commander, Abandon Reason earns its slot almost exclusively in Anje Falkenrath decks, where the Madness tag and cheap cycling cost do real work fueling her untap engine. Outside of that specific shell, a two-mana instant that temporarily buffs two creatures doesn't clear the bar in a format where every card competes against permanent advantage. In Legacy, Modern, and Pioneer it's legal but entirely outclassed — combat tricks at this power level don't see competitive play. Oathbreaker has the same ceiling as Commander: narrow synergy use only.

$0.08 bulk tier
At $0.08, Abandon Reason is deep bulk — buy it without thinking if Anje Falkenrath is your commander. There's no reason to expect price movement on a narrow, widely printed common.
